The public will be able to see the new documentary “Hearts of the Gila” created by New Mexico filmmakers David Garcia. The showing takes place at the Guild Cinema as part of the Journey Down the Gila tour that is currently traveling through New Mexico and western Texas.
The documentary tells the tale of three mothers who trek down the Gila, four years after losing their children in a plane crash. Journey Down the Gila is a one-night-only event and begins at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 2.
